Red Duskapprox 16"
x 10" The poem by Juan Ramon Jimenez, calligraphed with masking fluid over (and under) a graduated watercolor wash, floats between two collaged cliffs. A gnarled old pine tree stands alone on the mesa, and a single star, and crescent moon, shine in the deepening sky. Originally commissioned by a client as a birthday present for her boyfriend, I made two versions of this calligraphy piece. The one I kept traveled the world (along with my Alphabet Book) in the AlphaMark exhibit, sponsored by the Association for the Calligraphic Arts. home
